“It’s the most wonderful time of the year….”

December 2014
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from Smithtown. It has been a fun and adventurous year for our household. Trevor started a new job, I travelled internationally for work and Bailey is now a full grown, funny, crazy, talking and opinionated three year old. I am not sure how she managed to turn three on us. But, apparently it’s true what they say – time flies when you are having fun.
Some of the year’s highlights were cousins, cousins, cousins. Bailey is obsessed with her cousins. She wants to play with them all the time and see them as often as possible. “I love my cousins mommy…” Fortunately for us, we live close to a few and took several trips to see more throughout the year.  I definitely am grateful for the great relationship we have with our families and how fortunate we are to spend time with them.

Trevor and I managed to go to Bear Lake for the weekend of our 10th wedding anniversary. It was the first trip we had taken not to see family since our honeymoon. And many of you know about the “fun” of our honeymoon. (In Sickness and in Health) This however, was a much better and less sickly time – we went horseback riding and had some amazing food and remembered how much we like each other. We think we’ll go for another 10 and then re-evaluate.

Trevor also had the great fortune to meet the great Nathan Fillion (Firefly & Castle) and I met the charming Cary Elwes (Princess Bride). Oh the joys of comic con and fandom.

Bailey graduated to a toddler bed and we are still working on potty training, but she is talking in full sentences and I can almost always understand her. Also, not to brag, but I will – Bailey can spell her own name and count to 30. She is super smart and we will forever be grateful to all the television that helped get her there. Ha. Just kidding – about the television part - mostly. She is wicked smart though and remembers everything, so I am having to be extra mindful of things I say around that one and shows we watch when she is around. I guess The Walking Dead isn’t appropriate for toddlers.

2015 is going to be an amazing year I am sure. We hope that you all have a wonderful holiday season and a wonderful year.

With Love,
Trevor, Whitney & Bailey Smith
