"Play the game...

Everybody play the game..."

It has happened! Bailey's toys have overtaken our house so we have turned the guest room/office into a guest room/playroom to help keep the madness contained. It has been a work in progress, but it is finally completed. I love it and the room makes me smile. Some of you may know of Trevor's collection (or some might call it an obsession)  :) of potato heads. Well, this collection has allowed us to make a pretty fun and bright playroom for the spoiled, but mostly well behaved Bailey. Just in time to add some much needed birthday presents. (Ha) I cannot believe that she will be 2 next week. Where has the time gone?! We are so lucky to have her.

We are looking forward to the Arizona Thanksgiving and Zoo Birthday fun happening over the next couple of weeks. We will be in touch soon. Adventurers have an amazing and fabulous Thanksgiving. We love you and will see you soon.

"Too Hot to Handle, Too Cold to Hold"

...They're called the Ghostbusters and they're in control...

It was a spooky, busy and fantastic October. The fun has not slowed down in the Smith household and felt like it has sped up over the last couple of weeks. We have been trying to spend as much time outside while we can before the snow arrives and hinders our adventures. We have been truly blessed with a beautiful fall this year so we shouldn't complain when it starts to get a lot colder and snow begins to fall.

In order to celebrate this beautiful weather Bailey and I were able to go up to Logan for the day and spend it with my sister McKenna and her family. We had a picnic at the park and went to the Annual Pumpkin Walk. It was fantastic! Each "booth" was created using pumpkins and ranged from Princess Bride to Mario Bros, to Muppet's to Pixar and even a MASH booth. They were amazing and we all had tons of fun.

Bailey's favorite word over the last couple of weeks has been "walk." She wants to walk everywhere which is great; although she never has a sense of urgency while walking. Normally this is fine unless you have somewhere to be. She is also really good and making her body go limp and/or falling to the ground if you try to pick her up and hurry her along. It's super fun when she does that. (Did you catch the sarcasm) :) Ha!

We also took her to Wheeler Farm for the obligatory pumpkin patch picture and said hello to some animals as well. Bailey does pretty well with animals and their names, however on this trip she kept calling the cow a puppy. We were able to straighten that out this past weekend while we were in Idaho Falls saying a quick hello to my parents. She now says "Goodbye Cow" - over and over and over. This happened after visiting Reed's dairy and saying hello and obviously goodbye to the cows.

"Uh, mom - is that supposed to be Father Francis..." Not creepy at all.
Yeah we make this look good!
Bailey is talking all the time and saying short sentences. It's amazing and I love it. Most of the time I can understand what she is saying and wants. We had a fabulous Halloween and I was pretty excited about Bailey's costume this year. She dressed up as Holly Golightly (or Bailey Golightly as I called her) from Breakfast at Tiffany's. I wanted to go with her costume so I dressed up as "the cat". It was highly enjoyable and she definitely pulled it off. She looked ridiculously fabulous.

Hopefully things will be a little more mellow before the arrival of Thanksgiving and Bailey's second birthday. How is she 2?! Keep on adventuring and have a great November.

"We did the Mash...

We did the Monster Mash..."

Happy October and Fall adventurers. We hope that you are great and are getting your costumes ready and enjoying the lovely cooler weather.

Things in the Smith household have been busy as usual. Trevor's parents came for a short visit and hung out with us as much as they could and it was great. They brought Bailey a new little doll with a pacifier that she is now obsessed with; both the doll and the doll's pacifier. It's adorable. They were up here for the semi-annual Thailand mission reunion and had a wonderful time seeing their missionaries. We also have another new niece that we cannot wait to meet. Welcome Hadleigh!

Someone Save me from the Car Wash!
Bailey is reading letters everywhere and it's amazing. We are currently working on colors and getting her to use more than one or two word phrases. I think our current favorite phrase is "Get You" which she likes to use when chasing you. Creepy or funny, I am not sure. I know that she got it from me as she loves being chased up the stairs. I better start watching what I say unless I want her to repeat it. We also recently discovered that Bailey is terrified of car washes. We are terrible parents and just laughed at her dramatic behavior and of course took pictures as well.

She Survived - Barely!

She is loving our Halloween decorations and in particular she says hello to our light up ghosts every morning and gives them "loves". It's hilarious and pretty sweet. She also thinks the Halloween lights are "pretty" and likes to tell me often - "Look, pretty..." I love that she is talking more and much of the time we can figure out what she is trying to tell us.

We also attended the annual Utah Center for Reproductive Medicine IVF patient picnic a few weeks ago, and it wasn't awkward at all. Ha! Seriously, everyone there is so happy with their kid, or kids, but since no one knows any one but the doctors and nurses there is not a lot of interaction among the parents. That's fine. We are just there to say hello, thank you and show off the fun and fabulous Miss B. I mean right?!

Freedom! (at the UCRM picnic)

And she keeps on running, running, and running running...

Hello? Is it me you're looking for?

We hope that you are all doing great. We can't wait for Halloween. Bailey has a spectacular costume planned and while I am sure I am more excited about it then she is, she will have fun I am sure. Have a festive next few weeks until we see you again and keep on rocking!
